    Paris Attacks

    Update issued: 17 November 2015

If you are in Paris and you need emergency assistance please contact local emergency services on 112. Or call us immediately on +612 8907 5619.

If you are in Paris and safe and well, please email us on [email protected] to confirm exactly where you are. We are in close contact with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and will be able to communicate with them that you are safe and well.

French authorities have declared a nationwide state of emergency which will run for at least 12 days. The state of emergency gives the French authorities additional powers, including restrictions on large public gatherings and controlling access to public areas. French authorities also have announced tighter border controls. DFAT is recommending that Australians in Paris and surrounding areas should remain vigilant and minimise their movement in public places, follow the media for latest information on security and follow the instructions of local authorities.

You should contact your airline or transport provider to determine the impact on your travel plans if you are in France or planning to travel there in the coming days or weeks. A number of airlines have already moved to offer their customers the ability to change flights at no cost.

We will be posting more information and updates here our website www.covermore.com.au and on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
