Accepting the role of Cover-More’s first medical case manager and brand ambassador in Bali brought mixed emotions: pride, excitement and a little apprehension. For the next three months, for the peak travel season of November to January, I would be leaving Sydney city life behind to experience work and life in Bali.
As a case manager for Cover-More, helping travellers in times of need is what gets me out of bed each day. So I jumped at the chance to get out of the office and on-the-ground in Bali to make sure that any sick or injured Cover-More policyholders—and their families—receive the very best medical care and support while they’re away from home.
I will be working closely with the staff of Bali’s two BIMC hospitals in Kuta and Nusa Dua. I will be a friendly face and comfort to Aussies finding themselves in hospital in a foreign country...a person to talk to and a support to families, keeping them up to date with their loved one’s situation and progress.
What cases will I encounter, what hospital conditions will I be working in and who will I meet? I don’t quite know what to expect but I can’t wait!
