Welcome to the Americas

Comprising of North, Central and South America – The America’s covers 8% of Earth’s total surface and is known as the New World. It’s made up of 35 countries with the largest populations coming from the United States, Brazil and Mexico.

Perhaps the first thing you’ll notice about New York City is that everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere. That’s because there is always something going and somewhere to be. It isn’t a cliché in this city where no matter what part of the city you are in or what you are interested in, there will be an activity for you to participate in every weekend and almost every single week night.

So, you're headed to the East Coast of the United States for your holiday. Maybe Philadelphia, New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C. are on your travel itinerary. How should you pack for these cities and this part of the country? Where you end up on the coast will inform what you'll do and what you'll need to pack, but there are a few essentials to bring along with you (or purchase once in the US) to make sure you don't stand out as a tourist and are prepared for everything the East Coast has to offer travellers.

New York City or the "Big Apple" is one of the coolest cities I've travelled to and is the mecca of fashion and big brands. To see New York City properly, you need at least two weeks and even then, you'll find you need more time as you discover little pockets of culture and funky places to hang out.
