Pregnancy cover limitations

The policy does have restrictions in relation to pregnancy and if you are aware of the pregnancy when you purchase the policy (or book your trip on an Annual Multi-Trip policy) you may have to complete an online health assessment. For example, if there have been any complications with your current or any previous pregnancies; or if it is a multiple pregnancy or if the conception was medically assisted with the likes of hormone therapies or IVF.

Please note that cover is only provided for unexpected, serious pregnancy complications that occur during or before the 24th week of pregnancy. Additionally, Cover-More does not offer cover for childbirth or the medical care of a newborn child under our pregnancy travel insurance benefits.

It is best to always consult with your doctor before making travel plans, especially if you expect to be travelling after the 20th week of your pregnancy.
