How To Choose Your Policy

If you travel often, our Annual Multi-Trip policies^ may be ideal for you.

You can purchase 12 months’ international cover, for trip durations of either 30, 45, or 60 days.

Trips on our domestic Annual Multi-Trip policies can be up to either 15- or 30-days in duration, and include cover for rented vehicle excess and owned vehicle excess should you be going on a self-driving holiday within Australia and staying in domestic accommodation such as a cabin in a caravan park.

For domestic Annual Multi-Trip policies, we cover journeys more than 250 kilometres from your home or – if your trip is less than this distance from your home – your trip includes at least one night of paid accommodation and the accommodation is booked with a supplier (i.e. B&B) or provider (i.e. Airbnb).

If you are on a budget, you can choose from a variety of excess and cancellation levels to adjust your cover and premium. Get a quote online today and see how affordable protecting your travel dreams can be.

Do I Need Travel Insurance?

There are a number of reasons travel insurance is important and even more reasons for seniors. You may not be as fit and healthy as your used to be and medical costs overseas can be huge. A trip to the hospital for gastro in Australia may be covered by Medicare or your private health insurance, but in the USA, it can cost you upwards of $100,000. The quickest way to ruin a trip is for you to come home with a big bill.

Your chances of robbery have increased too, with thieves targeting older travellers. Make sure you and your belongings are protected on your trip.

Frequently asked questions

The older you get the higher your risk of health issues. Your travel insurance premium is influenced by the higher risk of health issues. There’s a greater chance of seniors cancelling a trip or requiring medical assistance while travelling including medically assisted repatriation to return home. That’s why premiums are often higher for senior travellers.

Complete the online assessment form when you get a quote or call our customer service team on 1300 72 88 22. You need to tell us about all your conditions. We will complete the assessment to determine if we can provide coverage for an additional premium.

Cruises are great for senior travellers. Visiting multiple locations from the comfort of a luxury liner makes for a relaxing holiday. If you are going on a cruise, you need to add cruise cover and pay an extra premium to be covered. It’s important to know that once you set sail, medical or hospital expenses (domestic or international), aren't covered by Medicare or your private health insurance. Adding the cruise travel insurance extra when setting up your policy can protect you against lost luggage, cancellation, and unforeseen medical expenses.
