Terms and Conditions of Entry

General

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry (“Terms and Conditions”). Entry into the Flyaway Campaign (“Competition”) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this Competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.

3. The Promoter is Cover-More Insurance Services Pty Ltd (ABN 95 003 114 145) of L 14 Zurich Tower, L14, 118 Mount Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 Australia (“Promoter”).

4. Subject to clause 5, entry is open to residents in Australia and New Zealand, who are over the age of 18 years, as of the date of entry, and who have fulfilled the requirements set out below (“Eligible Entrants”).

5. Employees and immediate families of employees of the Promoter are not eligible to enter this Competition. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

How to enter

7. To enter, Eligible Entrants must purchase a valid domestic or international travel insurance policy (excluding Great Stay policies) via https://www.covermore.com.au and enter the promotional code FLYAWAY at the checkout within the Incentive Period This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The travel insurance policy must be valid at the time of the draw.

8. Eligible Entrants must provide all contact details, including a valid email address and residential address, to be eligible to win. Eligible Entrants may only enter in their own name. Only one entry per Eligible entrant will be eligible for the draw.

9. The Competition commences on 8/12/2025 at 00:00 AEDT and closes on 31/12/2025 at 23:59 AEDT (“Incentive Period”).

10. Entries must be received by the Promoter prior to the end of the Incentive Period.

11. The prize (or in the case of vouchers, prize confirmations) will be sent within 28 days of the draw’s completion.

12. The winner will be selected via random draw from Eligible Entrants. The Promoter will conduct the draw on 15/01/2026 at 11:00 AEDT at L 14 Zurich Tower, L14, 118 Mount Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 Australia via the website https://www.randomdraws.com.

13. The winner will be notified by email within seven days of the major draw.

14. The winner’s last name, initial of first name and postcode must be published on the website within 30 days of the draw.

15. The Promoter may conduct a redraw on 31/03/2026 at 11:00 AEDT at the Promoter’s premises, in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by this date, subject to the applicable legislation. Entries to any redraw will be made up of all Eligible Entrants. The winner of any redraws will be notified by email within seven days of the redraw. The winner’s last name, initial of first name and postcode must be published (i.e. website name) within 30 days of the redraw.

Prize

16. There are two prizes. Each prize includes a return Economy Class International Short-Haul Virgin Australia flight certificate for two passengers, travelling on the same booking, from the nearest capital city to the winner’s place of residence serviced by Virgin Australia. Virgin Australia International Short-Haul destination options include Bali, Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu, or Queenstown, New Zealand. The flights must be Virgin Australia serviced flights and not code share services. The total prize pool is valued at AUD $5,500.00 as at 8/12/2025 (“Prize”).

17. The prize cannot be transferred to another name. Prizes must be taken as offered and may not be varied.

18. The Prize must be redeemed between 15 January 2026 and 31 December 2026.

19. The Prize is subject to the Fare Rules applicable to the fare. Tickets redeemed under this Prize are subject to the following Fare Class availability – X class.

20. All bookings are subject to availability. Blackout periods, including Easter, Anzac Day and Christmas and New Year public holidays apply.

21. The Prize must be redeemed at least seven days prior to travel.

22. The Prize can be redeemed by emailing [email protected] Monday - Friday between 09.00 - 17.00 AEDT.

23. The Prize cannot be changed or cancelled online, once booked. You will need to contact Virgin Australia’s Guest Contact Centre. Changes or cancellations may be subject to a fee in accordance with Fare Rules applicable to your booking. Changes and cancellations are subject to availability and must be made at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure. Fare differences may apply.

24. The Prize is subject to Virgin Australia’s terms and conditions of carriage apply to the Ticket. Virgin Australia’s terms and conditions of carriage are online available at http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/about-us/legal-policies/conditions-of-carriage/.

25. If for any reason a winner does not, once the flights have been booked, notify Virgin Australia at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure that they and/or their companion are unable to take the booked flight at the time stipulated, their prize will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed for cash.

26. The Prize may not be sold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original recipient or any subsequent bearer. If a Prize or Ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, it will be cancelled at Virgin Australia’s sole discretion.

27. Tickets cannot be upgraded and are not valid to earn Velocity Points or status credits.

28. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and your travel companion(s) (if any) are fit to travel and have the requisite visas, vaccinations, valid documentation (including but not limited to valid passports and visas) which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.

29 The Promoter and Virgin Australia make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination or as part of the Prize.

30. A winner is responsible for all other expenses including accommodation, spending money, meals, drinks, transfers, luggage costs, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes, energy surcharges, gratuities, service charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurrent in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

31. The awarding of all flights and flight booking related enquiries will be handled by Velocity Frequent Flyer and Virgin Australia Airlines. All other prize components are the responsibility of, and will be provided by, the promoter.

32. As a condition of accepting or participating in a Prize, a winner and the winner’s companion/s accept these conditions. A winner is fully responsible for the acts and omissions of any companion/s and the Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, the winner and any companion if the winner or their companion breaches these conditions, whether or not legally bound by them.

Advertising

33. Promotional assets and advertisements for this Competition in international markets may feature Cover-More Insurance Services Pty Ltd and any of its subsidiaries, holding companies, or subsidiaries of holding companies, including but not limited to Travelex Insurance Services Inc.

Further Terms and Conditions

34. Any Eligible Entrant found to have used a third party (including online competition entry site) to enter on their behalf will have all entries invalidated and any claim they have to any prize will be invalidated. If such an Eligible Entrant is awarded the Prize and then found to have breached this clause, the entrant must immediately return the Prize awarded. The Promoter has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached by any Eligible Entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who provides false information or who seeks to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Competition.

35. Any Eligible Entrant found to be entering incorrect contact details, including incorrect email contact details, will have all entries invalidated and any claim to any prize will be invalidated. If such an Eligible Entrant is awarded the Prize and then found to have breached this clause, the Eligible Entrant must immediately return the Prize awarded. The Promoter has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached by any entrant.

36. If the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a Prize of equal or greater value, subject to the applicable legislation. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize and Prize supplier's requirements. The Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the Prize as stated.

37. The Promoter highly recommends a current residential street address be provided when requested for ease of correspondence and potential Prize delivery. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the Prize to the addresses provided by competition entrants. The Promoter cannot guarantee that the Prize returned to the Promoter due to non-delivery at the provided address will be re-sent to the winner.

38. The Promoter reserves the right to conduct a re-draw in the event that an entrant, claiming to be a winner, is unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions or has breached these Terms and Conditions.

39. Subject to the applicable legislation, the Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition is final and binding on each person who enters. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.

40. Redemption of the Prize is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the Prize voucher.

Privacy Collection statement

41. By participating in this Competition, entrants agree to the Promoter sharing any data or information collected with any of the Promoter’s holding companies or subsidiaries.

42. By participating in this Competition, you agree to allow the Promoter and any of its holding companies or subsidiaries to contact you in relation to marketing offers and product updates.

43. Personal information is being collected by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Competition, and to assist the Promoter to improve its services. By entering this Competition, an entrant consents to storage and use of their personal information by the Promoter in accordance with its Privacy policy. If the personal information is not provided, the Eligible Entrant may not participate in this Competition.

Copyright, Statutory guarantees, Waiver and Liability

44. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter who may publish or cause to be published any of the entries received.

45. In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners agree to grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including online social networking sites, and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

46. Winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of that prize.

47. The Promoter (subject to applicable legislation) reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend this competition if an event beyond the control of the Promoter corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition. The Promoter will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this competition. In particular, computer-generated entries and the use "scripting" is not permitted and will not be accepted.

48. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used.

49. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under any applicable laws, including (but not limited to) the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia ('Non-Excludable Guarantees').

50. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), the Promoter excludes all liability (including for negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way in connection with this Competition, including but not limited to:

a. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control);

b. any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference;

c. any tax liability incurred by a winner (independent financial advice should be sought); or

d. accepting and/or using the Prize

51. Promoter assumes no responsibility for any misdirected or lost mail, or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay of operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating downloading materials in the Competition.

52. By entering in the competition, each Eligible Entrant agrees to the jurisdictional authority to where the Eligible Entrant ordinarily resides in Australia. In the case of a dispute, the Eligible Entrant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia, by law and such dispute must be brought in the jurisdiction in which the Eligible Entrant is domiciled, or where the relevant law contains mandatory provisions that override such exclusive jurisdiction.
