It’s time to fire up your finest filters, Instagrammers… We’re asking you to share your greatest globe-trotting adventures for our #UltimateTravelTales competition.
Whether it’s a snap of you sunbathing in Bali, a video of you trekking through Tasmania or the story of how you landed the perfect ski jump in the Japanese snowfields, Cover-More wants to hear, see and feel the travelling experiences that’ve taken your breath away.
So, go on – share your #UltimateTravelTales. We can’t wait to see where your epic experiences take us!
Here’s what you could win!
It doesn’t matter if you’re brilliant with a camera, a talented videographer or an incredible wordsmith, your skills could earn you some serious cash!
We’re giving three lucky travellers $5,000 each for submitting their top travel memories on Instagram in either photographic, video or caption format.
Category #1. Best photo
Have you captured the greatest holiday photo of all time? Enter it in this #UltimateTravelTales category – the $5k prize will be awarded to the owner of the most outstanding sightseeing snap on earth.
Category #2. Best short-form video
Are you known to shout “Lights, camera, action!” It’s time to share your <60-second travel video in your feed for your chance to score this category’s $5k prize.
Category #3. Best caption
Can you wow us with words? For those who are better with a pen than a picture, share your mind-blowing travel tale in your Instagram snaps’ caption to submit your entry.
Added bonus: the 10 runner-ups from the combined three categories will win a Fitbit Inspire HR each.
How to enter #UltimateTravelTales
Cover-More wants everyone’s amazing adventures to be in the running to win, so make sure you follow these steps when submitting your entry:
Step 1: Create your tale!
Your ultimate travel tale can be a moment you’re living right now or your favourite #flashback – it’s up to you. So, it’s time to get scrolling through your videos or start snapping!
Step 2: Post it
Upload your epic travel memory on your own public Instagram account during the competition period: 2 September to 29 September 2019. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #UltimateTravelTales in your post AND tag @covermore in the photo/video.
Step 3: Follow us!
We’ve got more than a few travel tales to share ourselves, so pop on over to our Instagram account @covermore and hit follow to ensure your entry is valid. We’ll travel to great places together via the ‘gram – we promise!
Who’s judging?
#UltimateTravelTales will not only be judged by a panel of Cover-More’s most active globe-trotters, but the two legends behind one of your favourite YouTube travel channels – Flying The Nest’s Stephen and Jess.
Stephen and Jess actually won Cover-More's travel competition in 2015, which helped launch their dream of travelling full-time. Find out how #UltimateTravelTales competition could kick-start your globe-trotting dreams, too!
These judges will be looking for original, creative entries that take us on a journey and inspire new wanderlust within us.
Frequently Asked Questions
You are able to submit an unlimited number of entries in all three categories as long as each entry follows the #UltimateTravelTales’ entry parameters stated above and in the full competition terms and conditions.
You can share a travel-related photo, video or caption from a trip you took in the past, BUT make sure you upload it within the competition entry period, use the hashtag #UltimateTravelTales in your post and tag @covermore in the photo/video.
The #UltimateTravelTales entry period lasts four weeks, opening 12.01am Monday 2 September 2019 and closing at 11.59pm GMT on Sunday 29 September 2019. Make sure your entry is posted on Instagram by the competition deadline so you don't miss out. Four weeks might sound like a long time, but the sooner you post your entry, the less likely you are to forget!
Nice try, but no. It is one prize per person. This gives you more chances to score a prize!
We believe that “Likes” shouldn’t define if your entry is worthy of winning. In #UltimateTravelTales, it’s the judges who’ll be deciding on whose entries are worthy of the winner’s title, so it won’t matter if your entry has 10 Likes or 10,000 Likes – our team of travel-loving judges will treat them all the same.
If you want to impress the judges, put your creativity on show and make us feel like we're on the travel journey with you. We want to see the fun and epic adventures you've had, plus the incredible destinations you've visited - this is a travel competition after all! Entries that are high quality, interesting and entertaining will not only stand out on the 'gram, but also in our minds, too!
